John Thompson III, head men's basketball coach for the Georgetown Hoyas, is this week's BCA Coach of the Week.  Thompson led the Hoyas to an overtime victory over BIG EAST rival, Syracuse.  With an overall record of 15-2, wins over both Syracuse and Notre Dame, last week, has helped #9 Georgetown cement their lead in the BIG EAST.

Last season, John Thompson III led the Hoyas to the school's first return to the NCAA Final Four in 22 years. Thompson, the 2007 NABC (National Association of Basketball Coaches) Coach of the Year, led the Hoyas to a BIG EAST Regular Season Championship, a BIG EAST Tournament Championship as well as the NCAA East Regional Championship.  The son of Hall of Fame Georgetown coach, John Thompson Jr., John Thompson III is adding his own legacy to the rich Georgetown basketball tradition.  He was also named BCA Male Coach of the Year in 2006 and 2007.
