African-American Golf Pioneer Bill Powell Dies at 93

01/05/2010 - Bill Powell, who was honored last summer as a racial pioneer in American golf more than 60 years after building a golf course while he was shunned by the sport he loved, died Thursday at a hospital in Canton, Ohio. He was 93.
